Employment

At the Dominican Starfish Foundation we believe that when we build homes, we should also build people. That’s why we hire local workers — not outside crews — to construct every home we build.

Some organizations bring in volunteers from abroad to build houses. We do it differently. We provide steady employment for 50–60 skilled workers, keeping donations in the community and helping families earn a reliable income. Our team members gain valuable construction skills that open doors to a better life. When you sponsor a house, you're not just giving shelter — you're creating jobs and helping an entire community grow.
