Can you imagine your child or grandchild not being able to have the necessities of life, especially mil for babies?
The Dominican Starfish Foundation is on a mission to support new moms in the Dominican Republic, a cause driven by the passion and commitment to make a tangible difference in the lives of babies and their families. This video was made during Covid but the need is still so great!
In the Dominican Republic, many families face significant challenges, including limited access to clean water and baby formula. This situation forces mothers to return to work soon after childbirth, often resorting to feeding their babies weak coffee or sugar water in the absence of formula. This practice can be harmful to the health and development of infants. One day while visiting, this lady asked us to take her grandson whom she was left to care for because she couldn't feed him.

Thanks to generous donations, Dominican Starfish Foundation and the Youth Upliftment School, led by Kate Bateman, are able to provide life-saving baby formula to those in need. This formula prevents mothers from having to feed their babies tea or sugared water, ensuring that infants receive the proper nutrition they need to thrive. When Bonnie and her family arrive, they will purchase and deliver these essential items to families in need, making a real and immediate impact.
